Happiness is… making x18 bench hooks!

There has been lots of preparation for workshops happening at the hub this week. My next Zion Adult Art Club is going to involve some rubber stamp carving and for this I needed- bench hooks! So, on Monday morning I raided my wood store and supplemented my stash with a quick trip to B&Q and then set to work. By lunchtime, I had x18 bench hooks ready to be used! I love re-using materials and it is always good to have my hoarding instincts (on this occasion being my store of wood) justified.

Yesterday, I also managed to fully book my first Adult Art Club at The George in Backwell on Thursday 12th September and this has led me to extend the Art Club to a second night (26th September) to meet demand. I’m really looking forward to getting started and to be able to meet everyone.

Today, I met with Sonia the owner and founder of the CIC initiative ‘Congar Cafe’ in Congresbury. A lovely space with the community at its heart- I will definitely be back for a visit soon and will hopefully have some exciting news too!
