First night at ‘The George’

I had a lovely time last night with the artists who took part in the very first ‘Art Club for Adults’ at ‘The George’ and we were in the beautiful conservatory!

We investigated our own mark making with a wide range of tools, then looked at marks used by Van Gogh in his drawings and used all of this investigation work to start to create our own drawings- AND THEY WERE STUNNING! The group were friendly, interesting and interested and 100% booked for the next session, which meant I skipped out at the end of the session with a big smile on my face.

My next Art Club at The George is a repeat of last night’s session, to cater for everyone who couldn’t get a place for last night and at the moment I still have spaces…

Following this my Thursday 10th October Art Club is very nearly booked up and my Thursday 24th October date is booking fast too so if you’re hoping to attend get in touch to book your space soon!

This weekend is going to be an arty one and will be me exploring the South Bristol Arts Trail with my kids and hopefully doing some drawing!
